In 2015, Memories pizza in Indiana was asked if they would hypothetically cater a gay wedding. They said no. It was a national story for weeks. Harassing phone calls, protests, death threats. They were forced to close their doors .
For people who say they are advocating for gay people, doesn’t it seem that their reactions to the events above are mismatched?
Because if someone truly cares about a friend, what is going to upset them more?:A. Somebody saying they won’t serve pizza at a friend’s wedding?
B. Somebody advocating for their friend to be murdered? And then someone following through on it?
If a person cares more about the pizza than life and death? That begs a litany of personal questions:
“1. Are you on psychotropic drugs?
2. Are you intellectually deficient in some way?
3. Has a psychologist declared you to be legally insane?
No to all of those? Well, may I conclude that you don’t really care about your friend.”
Liberals don’t. If they did, they would have stormed that mosque with the heat of a thousand suns.
They didn’t. Something else is motivating them. An ulterior motive.
What would that be?
I know. I know it.
What is driving them is a desire to suppress the truth.
This pizza shop is not in favor of gay weddings. Because they know what everyone knows deep down inside: that homosexuality is wrong and bad for people. It’s that deep down place in our god-given consciences that some attempt to deny exists. It’s why liberals respond so strongly to this issue. Their protesting too much gives away their guilty conscience.
Compare it to the Muslim cleric. He says to kill people who engage in homosexuality. That is obviously wrong. But liberals aren’t motivated to speak against things that are wrong. Because that would require speaking truth. Which is what liberals are suppressing.
Liberals aren’t inconsistent. They are entirely consistent with their true motive of suppressing truth. Their actions line up with that motive in all scenarios.
The bible talks about this mentality:
Rom 1:18 “….. godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness,
Rom 1:25 “They exchanged the truth about God for a lie……”
Rom 1:28 “…..they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind……”
This is the depraved mindset that many people are in. They’ve been fooled or fooled themselves into believing it’s about “love” and “tolerance” and protecting gay people. When that’s just a front for an anti-truth, guilty-conscience insulating agenda.
Do not be deceived like that.
There is a better way. Finding forgiveness for a guilty conscience instead of living in denial of it:
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins before God, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us and will purify you from all unrighteousness.”
Jesus said “I am the way, the truth and the life. Nobody comes to the father except through me.” John 14:6
